Elder Life Care Advocate Certification Course 

This course is designed for Legal Support and Para Legal Professionals seeking to distinguish themselves through specialized training in Elder Life Care Advocacy. The Certified Elder Life Care Advocate (CELCA) designation is a competency-based credential that is conferred for one year upon successful completion of the course and the designation must be renewed yearly.

COURSE STRUCTURE & OBJECTIVES

This course is comprised of four fully online self-paced modules, and learning activities in each module include assigned readings, short online videos, knowledge check questions, and case study reviews. The course is designed to be completed in 30 contact hours, and the learning objectives are as follows:

  • Explain the Concept of Coordinated Elder Life Care, Client Assessment & Transitions in Care
  • Describe Ethical, Legal & Financial Issues in Edler Care Service Delivery
  • Illustrate the Process for Developing Care Plan Interventions, Responding to Emergencies & Using Technology for Care Monitoring
  • Differentiate the Role & Function of an Elder Life Care Manager in Different Practice Settings.

  • Home Safety Modifications & Managing Transitions to Higher Level of Care
  •  Using Assessments to Develop Interventions & Write the Life Care Plan
  •  Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Planning / Response
  •  Care Plan Monitoring & Effective Use of Technology

Working in Elder Life Care Facilities, Home Health, Elder Law or Life Care Planning Law Firms
