Elder Life Care Advocate Certification Course

Become a Certified Elder Life Care Advocate and gain the specialized skills necessary to work as a private pay advocate for families of nursing home residents by safeguarding the resident's rights and monitoring the nursing home's care plan, medication administration, and hygiene standards.

Course Structure and Objectives

This course is comprised of four fully online self-paced modules, and learning activities in each module include assigned readings, short online videos, knowledge check questions, and case study reviews.

The course is designed to be completed in 40 contact hours, and the learning objectives are as follows:

  • Explain the Concept of Coordinated Elder Life Care, Client Assessment & Transitions in Care
  • Describe Ethical, Legal & Financial Issues in Elder Care Service Delivery
